Be prepared to be moved, touched and inspired. From the creators of award-winning Circus Kumarani, with the support of the Auckland Council Creative Communities Scheme, the Circability Trust presents a community of outstanding performers from all walks of life. The performance mixed together with their breath-taking circus skills create a joyous cocktail of entertainment and enlightenment, mixed for your delight and enjoyment.

This event is to help recognise the achievements of those living with a disability and promoting the actions our communities take to create a diverse, inclusive and accepting society around us. We are encouraging guests to bring along family, friends and colleagues to experience the electrifying circus talent fostered by The Circability Trust.

This is a cost neutral event, where no profits are made, other than to fund the event. Which we ask those attending to enjoy the delicious delights of food trucks on offer and check out the informative stalls from local organisations. The event is an all-rounder, delivering education, community, and entertainment, in the heart of Auckland.

“It is such a great delight for us to be showcasing this event for the public – showing our support to those who have supported us.” Says Thomas Hinz, Creative Director for The Circability Trust.

This is the 5th year of holding events for the International Day for Persons With Disabilities, in partnership with other organisations. The Circability Trust has already won two national awards for our partnership approach and as a creative space, and one of our longest running partnerships is with Cirque du Soleil.

Hinz is hopeful for the outcome of the event. “We hope that those who attend the event, feel like they can run away and join the circus, supporting local performers of all ages and abilities, and build some lasting memories with their family and friends.” He says.
