A family classic written by Kenneth Grahame and adapted for stage by Alan Bennett.

A story of friendship, as we journey with Mole, Ratty and Badger as they try to prevent the reckless Toad from harming himself with his heedless exploits.

Join all four of the main characters in their journey, as they encounter the sweet little animals who live by ‘The Riverbank’, the sinister creatures of ‘The Wild Wood’ and the humans who live beyond….in the ‘The Wide Wide World’…

The adults will recognize the story around class divisions between ‘The Commoners’ and ‘The Gentry’ and ‘The old-boy network’ which dominated the judicial system of the Edwardian era. The children will be enthralled by the animals and the adventures of the four main characters. This is a tale of fun, valour and above all else, the power of Friendship that crosses the boundaries, of class, colour, age and animal or human orientation.

A delightful play for all the family to enjoy, particularly during this festive season when it’s time for us all to get together whether we be Rat, Rabbit, Weasel, hedgehog or just plain human.
