There is perhaps no spirit so notorious as Absinthe. Known colloquially as the La Fee Verte or Green Fairy it was wildly popular and then banned for being hallucinogenic and precipitating murder.
More than a century later, premium absinthes are quietly back on the market and The Metropolitan Club has teamed up with esteemed Absintheur Johan Rijnbende to help you discover the Green Goddess for yourself.
The evening’s menu has been carefully selected to transport your senses and there will be music, food and some sort of dancing.
