The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams is a memory play.
It tells the story of Tom, his mother, Amanda, and his sister, Laura, and their lives in the deep South of America in the 1930's.
It is a story of hopes and dreams, memories and regrets. Tom longs to escape the confines of his mother's house, and his mother and live out his own adventures far from the claustrophobic world he inhabits.
Do we ever truly find freedom in our lives?
