SEE HOW THEY RUN
By Philip King
Directed by Sue Haddock
Stagecraft is delighted to present its production of Philip King’s classic British farce “See How They Run” at the Gryphon Theatre on Ghuznee Street between the 26th of June and the 6th of July.
There’s plenty in today’s news that’s farcical, but can you remember the last time you went to see a proper theatrical farce?
See How They Run is set in 1943, during the time of rationing, blackouts and the blitz, when “Fake News” was spread by the village gossip and “Identity Theft” was as simple as dressing up in a local vicar’s clothes.
This hilarious, fast paced comedy revels in the chaos caused by a confusion of clergymen, an escaped German prisoner and a sozzled spinster. And don’t even ask what happens with the actress and the bishop. One thing is for certain - in the sleepy village of Merton-cum-Middlewick, as soon as one door closes another will open!
A truly classic comedy, See How they Run is the perfect medicine for those winter blues or the stresses of the day.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to disruptions, latecomers will not be admitted to theatre. Please ensure you have exchanged your ticket for an entry voucher at least 15 minutes prior to show start time. Thank you.
