ADDITIONAL WORKSHOPS - MAKERS AREA

Spoon Carving
Come along and learn how to make a spoon! You will learn basic whittling techniques with a straight & curved whittling knives, and learn all about the ancient traditions of greenwood-working. Please note: This workshop is only suited to those who can work safely without direct supervision with very sharp hand tools. This class is not for children.

String & rope making with ti kouka leaves 
Learn how to use ti kouka / cabbage tree leaves to make a strong and beautiful twine. Rekindle’s most popular workshop, this technique for making string and rope is simple and can be used with many different materials.

Doll Making with ti kouka leaves
Ti kouka leaves are such a multi-purpose material. This fun hour long workshop will teach you how to make a simple doll with cabbage tree leaves, similar to a corn dolly. This session is perfect for older children.
