Designing and building products to truly serve a given population requires teams that reflect the diverse needs of that population. In the fast-growing world of technology, that makes the drive to create diverse and inclusive teams more vital than ever.
This event is organised by Women in Tech. Part panel discussion and part interactive workshop, join us to hear from Marise Stuart, Sarv Taherian, Nat Torkington and Andrew Tui about their experiences building and working in inclusive teams, and discover how we can do our part!
Discussion topics for our participants include why it is important to have an inclusive culture, how we can improve on the status quo, the role of allies, and more! Along with a deeper understanding of these areas, we hope that audience members will leave with some practical tips that everyone, regardless of their role, can apply to help make their own team more inclusive.
This is a great opportunity to network and connect with people from across the industry, and to support and encourage each other in approaching the challenges faced by minorities in tech.
Our amazing hosts at Xero have provided a safe space for children to hang out, if you'd like to bring your kids along. (Please note you will still be responsible for supervising them.)
