TourismTech19 will challenge your thinking, innovative ideas and get the creative juices flowing. A 'start-up' style event, people will form groups and develop solutions for a particular issue, idea or opportunity in the hospitality and tourism industry.

8:30am - 9:00am: Welcome and overview of the event
9:00am - 9:30am: Introductions and quick idea generation/pitch exercise
9:30am - 10:00am: Instructions and expected outputs for the day; Individual idea pitches (idea, issue, problem), voting on ideas and groups formed
10:00am - 10:15am: Mentor introductions and request for help from groups in specific areas – mentors assigned
10:15am - 12:00pm: Hack – Group work on idea/concept
12:00pm - 12:30pm: Lunch
12:30pm - 3:00pm: Hack – Group work on idea/concept
2:30pm - 3:30pm: Practice presentations with mentor feedback/hack – Group work on idea/concept
3:30pm - 4:15pm: 2 minute presentations with industry partners being the judges
4:15pm - 4:30pm: Prize giving
4:30pm - 5:30pm: Socialising at the Taranaki Bar
5:30pm: Event close
