The Kerikeri Theatre Company (KTC) is proud to screen three new short narrative films - all made in the Far North of New Zealand.

The first screening of all the films is at Cathay Cinemas in Kerikeri on Tuesday 26th November at 5pm sharp - with a second screening of all films at 6pm sharp.

All proceeds from this event will go towards future productions - both on stage and on-screen - and will help us maintain our rehearsal/performance space at Sammaree Place in Kerikeri.

      The 40-minute programme will feature:

      1) The world premiere of JOEY’S FILM - an 12-minute student horror film - written, directed and acted by students from Kerikeri High School and Springbank School. The young actors and the film’s director, Casey Roberts, are part of the KTC’s Youth Theatre programme. Please note: this film has a dark undertone, so may not be suitable for younger members of the audience.

      2) The big-screen premiere of the music clip of NZ singer/songwriter Jan Hellriegel’s song ‘High Maintenance Man’. The clip was directed by 16-year old Casey Roberts, one of the rising stars of the Kerikeri Theatre Company, and features Kerikeri and Kaikohe locals in the cast. 3) An encore screening of MIDRIFF - a 20-minute comedy/drama - written, directed and acted by alumni of the Kerikeri Theatre Company. This film won Best Film (Open Fiction) and Best Narrative in the 2019 Northland Film Competition in Dargaville, and was officially selected as a Finalist in the 2019 Oaxaca FilmFest in Mexico. It stars Makareta Umbers, Willi Henley and Adam Parmenter.
