Acclaimed Award Winning Director and Actress, Anapela Polata’ivao directs a cast of Gisborne locals in a rehearsed reading of Barbecue – by Robert O’Hara.

An outrageously darkly funny family comedy which cleverly explores the issue of race, Barbecue begins with the dysfunctional white trash O'Mallery whanau who come together over a barbeque to stage an intervention for their druggie sister Barbara. But as the play continues the O’mallery’s change in a completely unexpected way.

This super relaxed reading is hosted by Smash Palace, and your entry includes a good old Gizzy barbecue kai – sozzies and salad.

      FCC Productions.
