After assessing the situation, around changing alert levels and checking regulations, we are confident we can safely and responsibly proceed with ‘period.‘

For as long as we are in level 2 performances will involve necessary physical distancing precautions and reduced seating capacity.  Napier Little Theatre capacity will be reduced from 80 seats to just 40 seats. We highly recommend buying tickets in advance due to new reduced capacity.

We have decided to cancel the Monday 31 August performance. The promotional artwork has not been changed to reflect this yet.

Paint the town red! Eleven-year-old Karla has her period for the first time and Urban Dictionary isn't providing much help...

The period talk you wished you’d had! Did you hate the awkward classroom puberty talk or even the curt conversation with mum? We did! But your children don’t need to have the same experience! Adults don’t forget the kids this time because ‘period.’ has been created for young people, too.

Informed by personal stories, education books, and experts… we breathe life into the stale classroom puberty talk. Swear-word-free, sex-talk-free, culturally and religiously friendly we’ve worked hard to make this show a belly of laughs, a bucket of truth, and a sigh of relief.

Written and performed by Amy Atkins.
Directed by Rhian Firmin (2020) and Iris Henderson (2019).
