Unfortunately the Art Deco Trust have now been advised by the train operator Mainline Steams, that it has had to cancel the running of its steam train and period carriages for operational reasons.
Make your visit to the Napier Art Deco Festival a memorable experience travelling to and from the celebrations in true art deco style. Travel from Plimmerton to Napier and return in comfort in air conditioned carriages behind Mainline Steams JB1236 locomotive. Join the train at Plimmerton, Paraparaumu, Otaki, Levin, Palmerston North, Dannevirke, and Waipukurau. There are options for everyone including either return or one way tickets. The train also features a buffet carriage selling food and drinks. Please note Plimmerton to Palmerston North sections both ways will be diesel hauled.
