Join Hawke’s Bay Historian Michael Fowler for a walking tour around the Hastings CBD to see striking examples of the city’s Art Deco (there is more in Hastings than Napier); as well as the story of how the 1931 Hawke’s Bay earthquake affected the CBD. Michael’s tour is the result of over 15 year’s research and has new material added every year.
The tour takes 1.5 hours at an easy pace around the Hastings CBD. Please meet inside the Hastings i-SITE ten minutes before departure time.
There is a large car park nearby on Eastbourne Street West with parking.
