Hawaiian reggae band, KOLOHE KAI, have announced an exclusive Northland show at The Turner Centre, Kerikeri on Friday 10 January 2020. They will be supported by up-and-coming kiwi reggae star, LION REZZ.
KOLOHE KAI are the sweethearts of island reggae, led by singer / songwriter Roman de Peralta. The Hawaiian artist exploded on to the reggae scene in 2009 with the debut album ‘This is the Life’ which heralded infectious hits such as Ehu Girl and Cool Down. Two more highly successful albums followed, 2011’s ‘Love Town’ and ‘Paradise’ in 2014. Kolohe Kai returned to New Zealand to play the last couple of One Love Festivals and their summery, feel-good vibes made them one of the most popular acts of the fest. Their videos have millions of views and over 80,000 fans subscribe to their You Tube channel.
LION REZZ is a talented artist with a unique tone and a phenomenal creative approach, blurring the lines between a wide variety of genres, influences, and styles. His music is deeply rooted in the sound of classic reggae, dance hall and R&B. His videos, including Release Me and Runtingz Anthem, have already amassed over 1 million You Tube views.
Kolohe Kai and Lion Rezz will perform at the Turner Centre, on Friday 10 January 2020 and this show is guaranteed to set the town on FYAH! Tickets are on sale now. Doors will open at 7pm.
