Sales assistant and lonesome loser Seymour Krelborn struggles through the long days of his miserable life working in a rundown florist shop on Skid Row. Dominated by his callous and lazy boss Mr Mushnik, he longs for a better life shared with his unrequited love and fellow florist assistant, Audrey. Meanwhile, Audrey herself is trapped in an abusive and violent relationship with sadistic and arrogant dentist, Orin Scrivello. All seems hopelessly lost for our hero until he stumbles upon a strange and interesting plant, one completely unique and previously undiscovered on this planet. Naming the unusual vegetable “Audrey 2” in honour of his crush, Seymour’s luck (and the shop’s fortunes) turn in an instant. Seymour finds fame and wealth, and soon after the love of the beautiful Audrey but all is not yet well and good in Seymour’s world. Something sinister and horrifying slithers and writhes in the dark at Mushnik’s Skid Row Florists. Something that manipulates, deceives, mystifies and confounds. Something that craves blood to survive!

Part Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, part Faustian tragedy, but all quirk and mischief, Little Shop of Horrors will engage and delight with its mix of classic songs, endearing and fantastical characters, and constant homages to B-grade sci-fi/horror flicks from the 1950s and ‘60s.

Come with us on an out-of-this-world journey, as combined cast of Dilworth and Diocesan schools invite you to experience the bizarrely hilarious terror that lurks in the darkest corners of… the Little Shop of Horrors.
