Adventures in Parentland: The Teenage Years

All any of us want is to know that our teenagers are happy and safe. The problem is the world seems so much more complex and full of perils than when we were teenagers. In this entertaining evening Nigel blends over two decades of experience working with countless families, a broad knowledge of the science behind what really matters and what doesn't matter when it comes to parenting, and the unique perspective of having spent the last decade travelling the country making documentaries on everything from serious mental health issues to the future of education and the economy. If you’re wondering how you can best prepare your teens for the new world that’s coming this will be an evening you should probably attend.

This is a fundraising event for Life Education Trust Far North

The Life Education programme takes a preventative and positive approach to teach children about the wonders of life, themselves, and other people, with the aim of showing them how to reach their full potential. Our educator, with the help of Harold the Giraffe, visits over 6000 children a year throughout the Far North. Our philosophy focuses on creating an understanding and appreciation of human life, which enables the child to make decisions about any negative influences that might impede the development of their fullest potential. We are a non-profit organisation that operates in schools throughout New Zealand with each region relying on fundraising to staff and run their mobile classroom.  We are currently fundraising so we can upgrade our classroom with new technology to bring us up to the standard of all the other classrooms in NZ!
