      We’re back! With more than 50 of New Zealand’s best wineries, a full schedule of tastings, talks and new experiences. It’s time once again to delve into the that vinous wonderland that is Winetopia. 

      Get up close and personal with our unique regions and their most lovingly crafted wines. Try new favourites from the likes of Escarpment, Framingham, Craggy Range, Man O’ War, Greywacke and so many more. Get your hands on the newest wines on the scene right through to soon to be revealed flagships.

      This is your chance to immerse yourself in the New Zealand wine scene and celebrate the growers and winemakers that have put this country on the vinous map. 

      ‘Share a Glass’ with famous faces during our free talks and tastings, discover taste buds you never knew you had in our new ‘Wine Blind’ sessions and uncover more about what makes our wines so special with the Winetopia gurus including the OG Master of Wine Bob Campbell.  

      New for this year and by popular demand we’ve teamed up with Sergio Maglione and his team to bring you the Winetopia X Farina restaurant (Ponsonby) pop up restaurant.

      Tickets to Winetopia go quick each year, possibly something to do with our troop of musicians who send every wine lover off with a grin as wide as the Gimblett Gravels.

      Grab your friends and get ready for the biggest wine tasting event in New Zealand – Winetopia! 

      There are three different sessions you can choose from:
      Friday 30 October - 5:00pm - 8:30pm
      Saturday 31 October - 12:00pm - 3:30pm
      Saturday 31 October - 4:30pm - 8:00pm

      In the event that Winetopia is postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions, all tickets purchased for the event will either be transferred to the new dates or refunded (excluding any booking, delivery or transaction fees).

      New! Golden Coin
      Winetopia this year brings you some of the most prestigious wines in the country. We’ve asked more of our friends to bring along their ultra-premium wines and now you can taste them at the event using our new ‘Golden Coins.’ These ultra-premium wines are generally from a very successful vintage, have won prestigious awards or have been identified by reputable critics as wines of outstanding pedigree. These wines are usually found at upwards of $100 per bottle. The list of ultra-premium wines will be released shortly.   

      $30 includes: 5x Premium Gold Tasting Tokens. Wine pours will be 30ml. An exciting addition to any cellar, these wines are definitely to be savoured!

      MASTERCLASSES
      Masterclasses at Winetopia are lead by special guest speakers. Indulge in the deeper joys of New Zealand wine, learn from industry gurus and expect to be enthralled throughout the exclusive 40-minute interactive talk (45-minute for food and wine match masterclasses), including tastings of a number of premium varietals.

      Tickets for Masterclass sessions can be pre-purchased now, so don't miss out! A limited number of Masterclass tickets are available per session, and can be purchased alongside your Winetopia session entry ticket from just $20 (+booking fee). Masterclass tickets DO NOT include entry into Winetopia.

      Pick of the Pinots? 
      Pinot Noir is Bob's desert island wine. He will explain why it's top of his hit parade as he invites you to share a selection of his favourite labels.

      *These Masterclass sessions begin 15-minutes prior to gates opening and main session beginning. Please ensure you’re at the event 10-minutes prior to this Masterclasses start time, and make yourself known to event staff to gain early entry. 

      About Bob Campbell (MW) 
      New Zealand’s best known and most prolific voice in wine, Bob Campbell, was the second New Zealander and is one of only 396 people in the world to hold the Master of Wine qualification. He is widely regarded as New Zealand’s foremost wine educator, with more than 22,000 people having attended Bob’s wine diploma courses in New Zealand, Asia and Europe. He is wine editor of Your Home & Garden, Taste and the Air NZ in-flight magazine, as well as being New Zealand wine editor for Gourmet Traveller Wine. Bob contributes to wine publications in seven countries, and is currently chairman of judges at the NZ International Wine Show and chairman of the New Zealand section of the London-based Decanter World Wine Awards.

      About Stephen Wong (MW)
      Stephen might be one of New Zealand's newest Masters of Wine but he's long been a key figure in Wellington's hospitality scene. Over the past 15 years, he's moved from vineyard worker to sommelier to wine show judge across New Zealand and Australia, while working behind the scenes with restaurants and hotels locally and in Singapore. Since gaining his coverted Master of Wine status, Stephen has taken on more formal educational duties, teaching wine for the Cordon Bleu degree programme and running his wine consulting business, Wine Sentience.
