      Parkinson's Seminar Manawatu
      For people living with Parkinson's and their carers

      The seminar will feature a range of informative speakers and presenters delivering a programme covering important topics to assist people living with Parkinson's and their family members, carers and supporters.

      Doors will open at 8.45am. We anticipate completion by 3.00pm. Refreshments will be served on arrival, along with morning tea and a light lunch. Please bring your own water bottle.

      Carol Reid
      Founded by Carol Reid, Soulpreneurs has been created to help facilitate a journey into healing of mind, body and spirit. We do this through one of three programmes – The Desire Map; Mind Design and Happy For No Reason.  Ask when the next group workshop is taking place or speak with Carol about working one to one. 

      Phillipa Page
      As a Clinical Nutritionist, Phillipa’s philosophy is that health starts from within. She works with people as individuals with individual health and eating needs. Her job includes increasing understanding of your digestion, your health and your best food choices for good health now and through all ages. Find more at wellwithin.nz

      Kitty Fitton
      Discovering her annoying limp was actually Parkinson's Disease was a huge shock to Kitty, who was 41 at the time. After seeking help from Parkinson's New Zealand, she began to rebuild her life. Now a motivational speaker, MC and comedian, she continually advocates for positive attitudes and imagery around Parkinson's Disease.  You can find her at kittyfitton.com / goodmoves.co.nz / misfitt.nz

      Jodi White
      Jodi is a Speech-language Therapist who has been working in the Mid Central region for many years.  She has a special area of interest in progressive neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease and Motor Neurone Disease in particular.  She also has a special interest in Stroke rehabilitation and head and neck cancer and spends a lot of time working with people who have had a laryngectomy (voice box removal). 

      Marya Hopman
      As a Corrective Exercise Specialist with years of experience working with Parkinson’s, Marya will show you how simple changes in the way you think about your posture, breathing, movement and exercise can make all the difference to your results.  Take home key principles to put into practise straight away!

      John Bourke
      Dr John Bourke is a Physician/Geriatrician at MidCentral Health, Palmerston North Hospital. He has a special interest in the management of PD and keeps up to date attending many of the post-graduate meetings.This year with COVID19 many of the big name conferences are only on line which has its advantages. He will speak on the many facets of PD. He enjoys fishing and shortly he will be taking a break and be seen on the Tongariro river ever hopeful. Picture a shag grabbing a trout in front of his line.
