Parkinson's New Zealand's signature Tulip Cream Tea event this year is taking place in Matakana and is an afternoon not to miss.

The Tulip Cream Tea Matakana promises to delight the senses offering a special occasion that will be best enjoyed in the company of friends.

The venue Matakana Botanicals is located in the beautiful coastal region of Matakana and is just one hour north of Auckland central.

Guests will be greeted with a glass of bubbles and will enjoy feasting through the afternoon on two amazing high tea grazing tables filled with delicious savoury and sweet treats prepared by local bakers and catering company Bread my Butter. A Dilmah tea sampling station will offer a variety of tea's to refresh your palette and there will be plenty of locally produced beverages available from the bar.

Jon Houldsworth from Dilmah NZ will provide an enlightening short talk on the history and culture of tea.

To top it off our favourite barman, Justin from the Vintry Matakana, has kindly offered to design, prepare and serve a "Tulip" Cocktail especially for our guests.

Please bring your change and notes as we have some local hampers to raffle off. Eftpos will be available.

Treat yourself and a friend to a fantastic afternoon out.

We are proud to support local.
