A sustainable journey from Five Gates Farm in the sandhills of Kāpiti, to the Bus Stop Café on the beach. Enjoy locally grown produce, delicious food and great company.

Begin with a morning tea in the barn at Five Gates Farm, where guests will see firsthand how the owners, Julie and Paul Greenaway, run their sustainable smallholding growing spray-free produce for small businesses, local markets and their own self-sufficient consumption. Meet (and hand-feed) the farms growing herd of rehomed alpacas, friendly cows and free-range chickens while walking through the paddocks and vegetable gardens, picking up growing tips and enjoying some of the best views of the Kāpiti Coast.

A short drive will then take you to the Bus Stop Café where your host Kirsty Green will make you feel at home as you relax and enjoy a three-course lunch featuring seasonal produce from Five Gates Farm and other local suppliers, sampling the best Kāpiti Coast has to offer. Includes a glass of local wine with lunch.

Ticket includes: Morning tea at Five Gates Farm-  Tea/Coffee, cake selection. Farm Tour. Hand-feeding alpacas and learning about them. Three course lunch at the Bus Stop Café – locally sourced ingredients. Glass of local wine with lunch. Sustainable gift.
