CHEF’S TABLE AT THE GROVE WITH RYAN MOORE

English cuisine has been through a renaissance in recent years and the English landscape is now littered with Michelin Stars. This is where The Grove Head Chef learnt his craft and this dinner explores some of the highlights of his time in England.

Since landing at The Grove Ryan has earned a stellar reputation in the realm of degustation dining. He fell in love with New Zealand more than a year ago and has been in full gusto creating exquisite dishes under the careful stewardship of award-winning restaurateur Michael Dearth, which remind us why The Grove remains one of the top restaurants in the city.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Ryan found his love of food through an unlikely twist of fate because of a halted sporting career. Maintaining a competitive nature, Ryan strived to be the best in culinary arts and now boasts an impressive experience in Michelin starred kitchens across the UK, most notably gaining a Michelin star, alongside the restaurant owner of John’s House a mere seven months after opening. He is known to push the boundaries and reinvent classical dishes as he leads the team at The Grove to create the best experiences for guests with flavours driven to the fullest.

For this special evening, head chef Ryan Moore will present a five-course fine dining menu that reflects the nostalgic yesteryears of his upbringing and English heritage, with a playful dining spin from his unabashed influences on fine dining classics.
