Spend the afternoon touring by coach and on foot with the Kāpiti Food Fair to take libations in different corners of Kāpiti. Meet craft producers at Lemon Fellows, Koakoa and The Bond Store, Tuatara Brewing, Imagination Gin, Duncan’s Brewing, Dark Horse Coffee Roastery and a final stop at Hungarian cultural capital ANZIL. Each producer will enchant with their own inspiring stories followed by short tours and tastings.
Bespoke treats will be created especially for the occasion by deli and caterer, Tom Thumb. They will pack you your own box of six foodie items in a Kāpiti Food Fair jute carry bag (that is yours to keep!) and can be eaten along the journey.
The after-five ANZIL experience will be all things Hungarian including an extravagant tasting platter and wines that blends tradition and quality New Zealand ingredients. St Stephen's Day in Hungary is on August 20th (the day before the event) each year. This day is also known as Foundation Day and Constitution Day and is the official state holiday of Hungary. It is "the day of the new bread" as it is tradition to cut bread on this day to celebrate the arrival of the harvest. Hungarian dancers will help you to celebrate this day at ANZIL.
