A culinary journey of dining theatre that takes you through Chef Vaibhav’s homeland, the Kashmir valley in the Himalayas, the origin of his race and community, and the place that breathes centuries of history and folklore of the Asian subcontinent. The spices and ingredients may be common to the region, but the recipes used in Kashmir are unique to the valley. This six-course dining experience has drama, storytelling and gastronomic delights that explores elements from medieval Kashmiri wazwan to 20th century street foods of Kashmir. All strung together by Leo Gene Peters and the team from one of Wellington’s most innovative theatre companies, the Slightly Isolated Dog.
