On 3rd February 1931, an Act of God reclaimed 3,000 hectares of seabed in two and a half minutes.  Napier’s aquatic playground was no more, but its history since then is also a fascinating story. 

You will visit Park Island Cemetery and the community grave where most earthquake victims are buried. The tour includes a delicious afternoon tea. Allow 3 hours.
