The Art Deco Masonic Hotel will turn 160 years old this year and to celebrate, Hawke’s Bay historian, Michael Fowler, will give a one hour illustrated talk on its history, featuring the various buildings and upgrades over the years, including the modern day Art Deco Masonic Hotel that we see today.   

What an extremely colourful history it has had, including fires, earthquakes, rugby tours, famous guests (movie stars, writers, royalty) and then there is the staff!  Michael has recently completed a book on its history, which subject to availability can be purchased separately. 

To finish the afternoon, a sumptuous high tea will be served of five delectable items, with tea, coffee or orange juice. Please advise dietary requirements.
