When you’ve been teaching teenagers for as long as Denis Wright, writing for them is almost second-nature. Wright’s first novel Violence 101 won the Best First Book in the 2005 NZ Post Children’s Book Awards and has been taught in New Zealand schools and internationally. In this workshop for high-school students, Denis will teach the art and skill of writing and story.
Suitable for ages 13 - 18.
This event is part of Puke Ariki’s Festival of Words - a fabulous four day programme that will entertain, inspire and educate.
From Thursday 29 July to Sunday 1 August we’re bringing you performances and conversations with some of Aotearoa’s biggest names in the literary arts.
See you there!
