Napier Civic Choir presents the Hawke's Bay Orchestra, featuring NZSO Principal Cellist Andrew Joyce to play a Dvorák favourite, the sublime Cello Concerto and Tchaikovsky Symphony No.6 - 'Pathetique'.

Hearing the famous romantic concerto by Dvorák featuring NZSO Principal Cellist Andrew Joyce, is an opportunity not to be missed. With a full symphonic orchestra backing, the depth and sound of this concerto is simply stunning.

Arguably the most famous symphony by Tchaikovsky, his 6th is a rollercoaster of emotion. With full brass and winds, the work is a luxury to hear performed in Hawke's Bay by our local orchestra and guest artists.

The Orchestral Concert accompanies a weekend of Choral works held by the Napier Civic Choir on Friday 18th June and Sunday 20th June.   The Napier Civic Choir are performing 'Brahms Requiem' featuring HB Orchestra with guest musicians and soloists both on Friday 7:30pm and Sunday 2:30pm.

Entry to the Choral events is not included in this price.  We look forward to seeing you there!
