The tale of Taiao’s Journey follows a little blue penguin who goes on an adventure to save his home in the Hauraki Gulf. Along the way he meets many creatures which teach him valuable lessons about the world he lives in. The story uses lots of humour, basic Te Reo language and native animal characters to carry through it’s beautiful message of hope.

The performance is presented using Balinese style shadow puppets and live music creating a unique experience for the whole family!

The puppet show will be followed by a Q&A with the Native Bird Rescue, drawing the penguin raffle and a penguin puppet workshop for the kiddies.

All funds raised goes towards Native Bird Rescue.
