Blurring the lines of psychedelia and modal jazz, Wellington jazz musician, multi-instrumentalist and sonic artist Cory Champion brings his work out of the virtual world and onto the stage for this one-off Wellington Jazz Festival headline performance.
Blending “a heady mix of spiritual jazz, heavy groove worship, mind-splitting sound shapes and celestial excursions to otherworldly realms” (Undertheradar), Cory’s new suites will be brought to life by his neojazz project Clear Path Ensemble.
Expect music which is poignant and subtle, evolving and dynamic from seven of Wellington’s most exciting jazz musicians.
