A supermarket sponge cake and one hour to eat it. A delectable, riotous, naughty rampage. A search for freedom. An invitation to indulge. A blatant rejection of the rules. Thrashing about on the ground in cake. Fat freedom / complete control / party for one. Cake Baby.
Cake Baby is the latest live art work by award-winning artists Alice Kirker and Grace Augustine, who also collaborated on popular shows Fleshies, Jelly Baby and Heatwave together. Cake Baby is made in collaboration with Divyaa Kumar, Nahyeon Lee, Katie Longbottom, Alex Marris and Chris Marshall.
‘Alice Kirker has an undeniable magnetic energy.’ - Theatrescenes
Presented as part of Auckland Fringe 2021.
