A Taste of Gold - a progressive dining experience

Fancy a taste of some of Auckland CBD’s best restaurants all in one night? A delectable dish at each venue to make a dining event like no other? 

Introducing a Taste of Gold, a progressive degustation event hosted by American Express in celebration of the new American Express Gold Rewards Card. Move between four iconic Auckland restaurants and enjoy a unique course at each destination. Celebrating the launch of the new American Express Gold Rewards Card but open to all that love the finer foods in life.

The events offer the opportunity to enjoy canapés through to dessert at American Express Local Dining Collection restaurants, moving from each restaurant in the Britomart and Commercial Bay precincts for a four-course tasting experience like no other. 

Guests will arrive at The Lodge Bar & Dining at Commercial Bay to enjoy bubbles and canapés, before splitting into three dining groups and taking a short stroll to enjoy a delectable course at each participating restaurant; Botswana Butchery, Café Hanoi, and Amano.

Guests will spend 45-minutes at each restaurant enjoying a bespoke dish. 

A Taste of Gold marks the launch of the American Express Gold Rewards Card, one of the only dining-focused credit cards in New Zealand and one of only two metal credit cards, available in a choice of classic gold or rose gold. 

Gold Rewards Card Members receive exclusive dining offers which can be used when dining at the impressive range of restaurants in American Express’ Local Dining Collection.

• Dining Group 3: begin at The Lodge Bar & Dining before heading to Cafe Hanoi, onto Botswana Butchery and ending at Amano.
