Join the Royal New Zealand Ballet Foundation and the Royal New Zealand Ballet, in partnership with Hippopotamus, for a ball of an evening. Bring your Prince Charming or your wicked stepsisters, dress to impress, and settle in for a glittering rainbow of delight, with a decadent three-course meal at its heart.

Delve into the world of the RNZB’s upcoming production of Cinderella, a classic tale with a stylish twist. Come behind the scenes, meet the stars of the show and see what it takes to create a modern classic by Kiwi ‘dream team’: Loughlan Prior’s fabulous choreography, Emma Kingsbury’s fashion-forward designs and a musical score to make your heart skip a beat and your toes start to tap, by Claire Cowan. 

Hippopotamus’ Executive chef Jiwon Do has created a fairy tale on a plate. Firstly, enjoy a glass of bubbles on arrival and be welcomed by the stepsisters with salmon two ways. Once devoured, the magic begins with Cinderella’s ViaVio Stracciatella served with Lot Eight Curry Oil and a delicate pea tart. 

Continue the celebration with coastal lamb served with the ‘fab five’ compound butter and accompaniments. Finish the night in a magical Cinderella style, with an Ōtaki Honey and Pamu Deer Milk delight, served with Kabocha and Lucid Chocolatier. 

Before the clock strikes midnight, the Royal New Zealand Ballet Foundation will share how your support (a donation in the ticket price) helps make ballet dreams come true in Aotearoa. Drinks match available to purchase at the event.

Ticket includes: A three-course meal, bubbles on arrival and a portion of the ticket will go towards a dance initiative funded by the Royal New Zealand Ballet Foundation.
