In line with the Government announcement on Sunday, Sport Otago is saddened to cancel the upcoming Stride, Ride and Slide events scheduled for January and February. We believe the socially responsible action in this case was to cancel the event, with the health of our community being of the upmost importance. We hope to see everyone back at larger events soon when it is safe to do so.

The Puzzling World Challenge Wanaka Mini organised by Sport Central is open to all children 5 years old and under.

Setting off in age groups, the participants will get to slide, wheel and/ or stride their way to the finish line where the red carpet and official event chute will be waiting.

It is encouraged that each participant has one caregiver* to partake alongside them. Online registrations are $5 or enter on the day with cash at the registration tent for $8 from 3:30pm.

The course will be:
Slide (Water Slide) – 15 metres
Ride (Scoot/ Bike)  – 200 metres
Stride (Run/ Walk/ Dance) – 100 metres

*Please note that this caregivers and all family members of entrants who attend this event understand they must be fully vaccinated and show their Ministry of Health vaccine passport at the event due to the NZ Govt vaccination mandate in connection with COVID-19.
