Pōraru & Te Kooti Ariki Rangi Te Tūruki | Kōanga Festival 2022 | Te Pou Theatre
Te Kooti Ariki Rangi Te Tūruki by award winning playwright Maraea Rakuraku is a series of monologues telling selected aspects of Te Kooti's life story through the bodies and life experiences of four Māori men.
Pōraru by Rawinia Parata. Pōraru is a close and intimate look at one woman's struggle and a steep decline in her mental health, the impacts of that on her relationships, whanau and self-esteem.
Join us in hearing these works presented for the first time.

Kōanga Play Readings is presented by Te Pou Theatre as part of their Kōanga Festival 2022, celebrating Māori storytelling for the stage. See www.tepoutheatre.nz for the full festival programme.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before show start time. Latecomers admitted into the theatre at Basement's discretion. No refunds will be given.
