What better way to spend a spring afternoon than sipping craft gin cocktails, sampling delicious delicacies and discovering your inner artist at the historic Stonehouse at Azabu Mission Bay?
Roku gin is bringing the enchantment of spring in Japan to our doorstep, with a celebration of the 1,000 year-old Japanese tradition of observing the first of the cloud-like pink sakura flowers in bloom; “Roku presents Hanami at Azabu Mission Bay” is a multi-sensory dining and gin tasting experience honouring the annual ritual of welcoming spring.
As part of the festivities, a series of “Sip and Paint” classes are being held in the Stonehouse, where a Saturday afternoon can be wiled away painting sakura, accompanied by Roku gin cocktails and Azabu Mission Bay tasting plates.
Led by local artist Ema Frost, who has travelled extensively throughout Japan training in art techniques across a variety of mediums, guests will learn to work with goache (an opaque watercolour) to produce their own original painting to take home.
Classes start at 3pm and run for 90 minutes. Tickets are $120 per person and include four Roku gin cocktails; four Azabu tasting plates and a painting class with Ema Frost (all art materials provided).
