An evening of acknowledging achievements and saluting successes, the New Zealand Thoroughbred Horse of the Year Awards is a glittering occasion where the industry celebrates the passion of our participants, the beauty of the horse and the glory of our sport. Join us to toast the magic moments of the past season as we relive its highlights, acknowledge the deeds of our finalists and salute our winners.

The Thoroughbred Racing Awards were first held in 1991 and are held annually to recognise New Zealand's top performers, both equine and human, over the previous racing season. Each winner receives a beautiful bronze trophy designed by the internationally renowned sculptor, Gerard McCabe.

The 2022 Awards will be held on Sunday 4 September at Claudelands, Hamilton.
