Shakespeare Globe Centre New Zealand’s (SGCNZ) Wellington Regional University of Otago Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival highlights the incredible creativity and passion of school-age actors across the region.

Each session showcases a collection of 5- and 15-minute scenes taken from the Bard’s works performed by 13- to 18-year-olds with a love of language, a penchant for playing, and a soft spot for Shakespeare. Year after year, SGCNZ inspires the astounding innovation and collaboration of young people to come to the forefront to interpret Shakespeare’s texts in new, modern ways, integrating social movements, youth issues, and cultural heritage.
