Tahawai Events presents for the first time, the Tahawai Festival.  A two day whānau friendly event located on the banks of the majestic Tuapiro River in the heart of Tahawai, Katikati, Bay of Plenty. With a stella lineup of class acts, the Tahawai Festival promises to herald in 2024 in style. 

The festival is all about celebrating life and promoting healing and wellbeing through music and kotahitanga (togetherness).  Our aim is to uplift, entertain and provide hope to rangatahi and their whānau by equipping whanau with tools for ora (life).

• Main stage will share music and dance performances.
• Hauora zone with mirimiri, rongoā, local health and mental health support services/experts.
• Qualified counsellors offering free counselling in a safe space.  A “quiet zone” for anyone wanting some quiet time out.
• Fun activities to enjoy together as a whānau.
• Kaumātua tent for nanny and koro to enjoy the weekend undercover.
• Kai vendors.
• Supervised swimming area for all the whānau to cool down.
• Fireworks display for New Years Eve.
• Camping is available
• Strictly a no drugs and alcohol event.
