There’s No Place Like Home

Auckland Academy of Dance’s story of Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.

As Dorothy finds herself in a situation wrestling with authority, she dreams of running away to a fairer world. As she attempts to run free, she is caught up in a Tornado, before being able to make it to safety, and is thrown and blown into the strange new world called Oz. On this new journey Dorothy learns the value of home, the place she contemplated on leaving, when things didn’t go her way. Realising There is No Place Like Home, Dorothy must follow the yellow brick road to find the famous Wizard of Oz who can help her return.
