Join Hawke’s Bay Historian Michael Fowler for a walking tour around the Hastings CBD to see striking examples of the city’s Art Deco including some amazing Spanish Mission architecture.

Discover the story of how the 1931 Hawke’s Bay earthquake affected the CBD and learn why there are more Art Deco buildings here than in Napier. The tour takes around one hour 15 minutes at an easy walking pace around the Hastings CBD.

Please assemble ten minutes before departure. There is a large car park nearby on Eastbourne Street West.
