Craft beer, cocktails, snapper sambo’s & live music, you’ll try it all at Brew of Islands!

Are you a craft beer lover? Ever look across the beer aisle and think there’s just no way I can try them all, or, am I even going to like them? Here’s your chance to answer your beer-loving dreams! 

We have partnered with NZ’s most prominent independent breweries and Northland’s favourite micro breweries too. Powerhouse’s Parrotdog, Garage Project, Urbanaut and Cassels will be joining our local brewers - Kainui Brew Co. Phat House, Bay of Islands Brewing, McLeod’s and 8 Wired Brewing from Matakana. We are excited to welcome the cream of the crop of New Zealand's craft Breweries to our event. Each Brewery will have at least 4 of their own tasty little drops of heaven on display for you to try in either a 75ml taster, a 250ml glass or a 400ml treat. 

Or perhaps you have someone in your crew that just doesn’t do beer? That’s cool, we have local mixologist and cocktail maestro Ben Thrippleton of Kindred Spirits coming along to add a cocktail bar to the mix, because shouldn’t we all get what we want?

And then when you’ve tried a few brews and are feeling a lil peckish, why not hit up one of our incredible local food vendors. They’ve created a Northland style street food menu that goes epically with a pint of golden goodness! Think snapper sambo’s, mussel fritters, low n’ slow BBQ meats. No matter what suits your fancy, you’ll get a true taste of Northland in one hand while sipping on world class pints of precious pale ale’s in the other.

And no festival is complete without a treat for the ears. We have laid back Far North grooves by local Northland reggae/rock group Norizon, maritime themed songs from the Wellington Sea Shanty Society and T-Bone - recent winners of the Te Kaipuoro Taketake Toa | Best Folk Artist Tui 2023, who will entertain with their own blend of Goodtime-Americana-Kiwi-Folk.

We have three 4hr sessions to tickle your beer loving taste buds, come to as many as you like:
July 21st  -  6:00PM - 10:00PM
July 22nd  -  12:00PM - 4:00PM
July 22nd  -  6:00PM - 10:00PM

Ticket pricing is $35 each or $30 each when booking for a group of 6 or more. Or perhaps you’re a real beer guru and want to purchase our Beer Lover’s package which gets you access to 3 Sessions + a Brew of Islands Hoodie and Tee!

Craft beer was born out of experimentation and home brewers pushing the boundaries – we want to continue to foster that relationship between craft beer and home brewing, so we are putting together a wee comp for Brew of Islands with 4 categories:

• Something Crisp (Pilsner/Lager)
• Something Pale (IPA/APA)
• Something Dark (Stout/Porter/Dark)
• Something Special (Sour/Fruity/Unusual Ingredients)
