TOAST MARTINBOROUGH
On Sunday, November 19th, Toast will mark its momentous 30th year with a celebration that promises to be truly unforgettable.

Twelve local vineyards will feature across eight beautiful sites. From revered favourites like Palliser Estate, Ata Rangi, Te Kairanga, Martinborough Vineyard, Luna Estate, Tirohana Estate, Escarpment and Moy Hall to exciting newcomers such as On Giants Shoulders, Huntress, Big Sky Wines and Stad_ko Wines. To complement the exceptional wine selection, Martinborough Brewery will create a special festival beer, adding a unique touch to the beverage experience. Supported by the region's finest food, most revelled entertainment and carefully curated VIP offerings, it will undoubtedly be a blissful day amidst the vines. 

  • Tickets include a wristband, which grants you access into all participating sites and the hop-on hop-off buses travelling between the sites, a shatterproof glass and a lanyard.
  • Tickets can be redeemed at the Martinborough Square between 9am and 12pm Friday 17th, Saturday 18th or Sunday 19th of November or at the Martinborough Rugby Club between 9am and 12pm on Sunday 19th November.
  • Festival sites are open from 10am to 6pm, with bars open from 10:30am to 5pm.

Palliser Estate VIP Access + Exclusive Wine & Food Tasting Session with Yvonne Lorkin & Guy McMaster
Escape the hustle and bustle and take your Toast experience to the next level in a VIP space, plus enjoy an exclusive wine and food paired tasting with Yvonne Lorkin and Guy McMaster.

  • A selection of special library wines from the underground cellar will be available to purchase by the glass, including the Decanter World Wine Awards Best in Show Single Vineyard Hua Nui Pinot Noir. Palliser Winemaker & Viticulturist Guy McMaster will be on hand to chat through the finer details of these vintages.
  • Light antipasto from the Palliser Kitchen to complement wine tasting.
  • Access to VIP amenities (bathrooms, cellar door & tasting room, outside patio & pétanque).
  • An exclusive wine tasting session with Dish Wine Writer Yvonne Lorkin and Palliser Winemaker & Viticulturist Guy McMaster from 10:30am - 11:30am. Includes four Palliser wines and canapé matches, designed to complement the flavour and aroma profiles.

Indulge in an exclusive all-day Vintage Room experience at Ata Rangi – the ultimate oasis at Toast Martinborough.

  • Helen Masters, Winemaker and Stephen Wong, Master of Wine will be on hand to share their intimate knowledge about Ata Rangi.
  • A curated selection of Vintage wines will be available to purchase by the glass in beautiful glassware (purchase of vintage wines are additional to the ticket price).
  • Freshly shucked oysters and other raw delicacies to match the aged wines will be available to purchase from Egmont Izakaya Raw Bar (purchases from the raw bar are additional to the ticket price).
  • All day access to the beautiful Vintage Room & Garden and use of the amenities.

The Runholder VIP experience
Settle into the luxury of The Runholder VIP Lounge nestled on the edge of the Martinborough Terrace. Soak up spectacular views, discover iconic wines, and a indulge in a complimentary regional grazing table.

  • Enjoy exclusive entry to The Runholder's VIP Lounge, featuring a decadent grazing table with local cheeses & charcuterie (included with access). 
  • Immerse yourself in a winemaker tasting led by either John Kavanagh of Te Kairanga or Paul Mason of Martinborough Vineyard. 
  • Access VIP amenities, including private toilets, an outdoor terrace, and a dedicated VIP bar serving wines in Gabriel glassware (purchases from the VIP bar are additional to the ticket price).

Train
Add a touch of nostalgia and grandeur to your Toast experience this year with Steam Incorporated’s heritage excursion train. Enjoy a scenic return journey over the hill from Wellington to Martinborough. Simply select your preferred departure point when adding the transport ticket to your festival pass. Connecting bus services will be ready and waiting to transport you from Featherston Station to the Martinborough Square. Return connecting bus services will depart the Martinborough Square at 4:55pm. The train will depart Featherston Station at 5:55pm. Travel hassle-free to make the most of your festival experience!

Bus ticket sales close at noon on Thursday, 16th November 2023, unless sold out prior.

PACKAGES

Tauherenikau Glamping Village
Tauherenikau Camping Village will be back for a second year, with their thoughtfully designed two-night packages, nestled amidst the natives in Tauherenikau. The packages include two nights’ accommodation, BBQ dinner cooked over firepit on Saturday, general admission Toast ticket and return coach transfer to Martinborough on Sunday. 

  • Check-in is 12pm on Saturday 18 November and check-out is 12pm on Monday 20 November.
  • Event buses will leave Tauherenikau at 9.45am on Sunday and drop you off at the Martinborough Square where you can check-in to the festival. Pick up is at this same spot around 6.00pm.
  • Security will be on site while guests attend Toast Martinborough and tent locks are available to those who would like them.
  • Korkys food truck will be on site at Tauherenikau on Sunday morning and evening and Monday morning.
