In the 25th anniversary year of the film, Te Awamutu Light Operatic Society presents The Full Monty, a comedy play written by Simon Beaufoy, from his original screenplay of the 1997 film.

After losing his job at a steel factory, Gaz learns that he may lose shared custody of his son for missed child support payments. Desperate for money, Gaz and his friend Dave decide to create their own male strip-tease act and recruit four more men, including their former foreman and a security guard. The group promises they will go all the way, "The Full Monty"!

This production run will coincide with ‘Blue September’, raising funds for Prostate Cancer New Zealand, raffles will be held at every performance to support this worthy cause.
