Rent is a high energy rock musical that pulls no punches. Based loosely on Puccini's La Boheme, Jonathan Larson's Rent follows a year in the life of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. As these young folks struggle with grief, poverty and paying the rent, the show reminds us that in the thick of it all: there's only us, there's only this, no day but today!

Rent contains brief nudity, sexualised situations, and depictions of drug use and HIV/AIDS that might be distressing to some audience members. We recommend this show to audiences ages 15+.
