Smoke on the Coast 24 – April 26th-27th 2024

New Zealand’s favourite Barbecue competition, held on the sparkling shores of the Whangateau Harbour near Matakana.

The event includes three competitions; Kids on Fire for any young pitmasters from 6 to 15 years of age, Pure South NZ SCA (Steak Cook-off) association Steak and ancillary cooks plus a 6-hand in Jack Daniels New Zealand Barbecue Alliance championship round including TWO ROUNDS of Swift Ribs (one each day)!

The public are invited to visit site on Saturday 27th from 10am till 5pm to check out the teams, enjoy the best of Barbecue catering, check out the best of barbecue product from local retailers and distributors plus attend free BBQ ‘How-to’ classes form top BBQ Pitmasters.

Entry is free to the public.
