Experience Musical Brilliance: Hamilton Civic Choir presents “Walking on Moonbeams” as part of our Concert 2 Series, with special guest youth choir Exaudi joining us from Melbourne, Australia.

Join us for an afternoon of choral artistry featuring a diverse repertoire that spans the ages and genres, including captivating performances by our esteemed guest choir.

Hamilton Civic Choir will perform a selection of choral masterpieces that will stir your soul and ignite your imagination. From the rhythmic intensity of Dan Davison's "Ritmo" to the celestial beauty of Randall Stroope‘s “Song to The Moon”, with the latter additionally accompanied by flute and oboe. Experience the timeless charm of Brahms' "Der Gang zum Liebchen" and the stirring power of Brent Stewart’s arrangement of "A Te Tarakihi" as well as many other pieces as we journey through a landscape of musical brilliance.

Joining us for this musical celebration, we are honoured to host Exaudi, a choir of young adult singers and part of the Young Voices of Melbourne organisation. Exaudi performs across Melbourne and greater Australia, and has recently travelled through Italy, Spain, Ireland, and Scotland. A unique treat for Waikato audiences, Exaudi will be in New Zealand to attend the World Choir Games in Auckland and will join us in Hamilton for this performance. Prepare to be dazzled by their vocal prowess and repertoire, adding an extra layer of magic to this concert experience.

Whether you're a seasoned choral enthusiast or a newcomer in the choral music scene, this concert promises an enchanting experience for all. Join us as we come together in harmony, celebrating the beauty and international friendship of music that enriches our lives.

“Walking on Moonbeams” – where every note tells a story, and every song touches the heart.
