You’re invited to join us for a cosy evening at Gore’s Little Theatre, with entertainment by some of heartland Aotearoa’s best.
From chart topping singles and record deals in Nashville, Sam Bartells is fuelled by fight, passion, and purpose, possessing authenticity and fierceness.
His grit and raw emotion are easily understood and configured as music that is heartfelt and real. Enlightened lyricism is bought to fruition by Bartells's rugged, earnest vocals to create his own sound - a blend of alt rock and country music.
Displaying the spiritual awakening life has brought him to, Sam lives from the heart and possesses a tenacious talent and enthusiasm for music.
Raised in a home full of Dolly Parton, Tom T Hall and Kacey Musgraves, Maegan and Nicola have spent years honing their blood harmonies. Born and bred in Gore, their unique blend of folk, country and te reo Māori wraps around audiences of all ages. They've toured through Aotearoa and Australia, supporting and playing with artists including Nadia Reid, Barry Saunders, Delaney Davidson, The Topp Twins, Fanny Lumsden (AU), and their big sis; Jenny Mitchell.
In 2023, they released their debut EP Find a River and embarked on their first headline tour, selling out shows around the motu. Find a River was nominated for APRA NZ Best Country Song and the singing sisters were crowned the overall Runner Up at the 2023 NZ Gold Guitar Awards.
Refreshments and snacks available.
Please note the organisers of Bayleys Tussock Country Music Festival may be in touch with customers directly with more information about this and future events.
