Please join the Royal New Zealand Ballet Foundation for an unforgettable visit to the Gibbs Farm sculpture park on Friday 22 March 2024, 10am-2pm.
The internationally acclaimed Gibbs Farm is 400 hectares of re-formed farmland on the Kaipara Harbour, a short drive from Auckland. It houses a collection of large-scale and breath-taking site-specific sculptures by some of the world’s leading artists – including New Zealanders Neil Dawson and Len Lye, and international artists Richard Serra, Bernar Venet, and Anish Kapoor.
The Gibbs Farm is private property. It only opens for a limited number of visitor days each year, to benefit artists, educational institutions, charities and the public. We are delighted the Gibbs Farm trustees have agreed the Royal New Zealand Ballet Foundation will be one of those beneficiaries in 2024.
During the visit you will be free to roam the hills, enjoying the sculptures from both afar and right up close. A map book is provided and you can experience as many of the sculptures as you wish, in your own time, and from whichever perspective you enjoy the most.
The Foundation will have a tent at the farm on the day to assist you.
The Gibbs Farm also has a wonderful collection of exotic animals, including giraffes – be prepared to be wow-ed!
Entry for this magical event is strictly limited. There is no entry fee when visiting Gibbs Farm, so all the funds raised will go directly to the Royal New Zealand Ballet Foundation, to support ballet and dance.
Tickets are $95 per adult and $50 per child (aged 5 to 16), plus booking fee. Children under five attend free of charge.
Information about the Gibbs Farm is available on its website, click here to access the website.
We hope you and your friends can join us for this very special event. If you have any questions please contact us on auckland@balletfoundation.org.nz.
