China Gonzalez, also known as Rex King Klaus, is a comedian, improviser, and award winning Drag King. Their passion for play is only equaled for their love of gender bending. They do not shy away from gender, but rather welcome it as a means to express and reinvent themselves constantly. A producer of artistic spaces for community such as the Spanglish Comedy project, China believes in safe spaces to explore one's craft and the world as it could be.

Have you ever felt constrained by the limitations of gender on stage? Have you ever wondered what gender f***ery might look like in improv? In this workshop, we will strip back gender and its elements to use them like building blocks that we can put back together in whatever order we can think of. If the world of improv allows for all the possibilities, why not be bold and play beyond the limits we are used to?
