WHO ARE YOU IN RELATION TO ME?

Exploiting what it means to be a Mother,
when you are still a Daughter.
Birthing art as a result of fermentation.
Inducing labour in the hope of catharsis.

      Mother. Daughter.
Pulsing to the tune of destruction and restoration.
      A portrait of life creation.
      Or is it art creation?
      Probably neither.

MDM explores the outside concepts of Motherhood and Art.
Prepare to be cradled, confronted and confused (???)

Brick Haus Productions has been producing theatre work for some of Aotearoa’s most exciting independent artists since 2020. When company co-founder's Genoveva Reverte and Bella Petrie are not making their own theatre, they are focussed on supporting other makers who create contemporary and experimental mahi. Their mission is to continue producing work that provokes audiences to think deeply about their relationships with themselves, with others and with their communities.
